    Plate size
    Midway is the size GG prints today (Jack's base modules, 80 x 124 mm for 1 gang). Openings and screw spacing are the same in every size.
    Row 1 is the top row. Gang 1 is on the left.
    Round receptacle opening
    NEMA WD 6 page 4 round-face openings on 2.375 in screw centres. Measure the receptacle face if unsure.
    Text on the face
    Inlaid flush in the space above the switches, in a second colour. Decora plates have no room there: use a border and border text instead.
    Big breakout letters
    GG's signature look: bold letters standing on the top edge (DAD'S / GARAGE). Floating marks like apostrophes are left off.
    mm
    Capital height. Shrinks so the word is no wider than the plate (see width).
    3D add-ons
    3D figures and shapes print as SEPARATE parts and are glued on (alignment pin holes in both). Figures marked Shop Floor only are print only and never sold as files.

    Border
    A decorative surround printed in one piece with the plate. It sits flat on the wall around the plate.
    Material

    Sun and heat: Standard PLA can soften or warp in hot sun or a hot car. For outdoor booths, sunny windows and anything that rides in a vehicle, pick ASA. ASA is about 35% more. ABS is available on any build.

    Switch and outlet covers made for your room

    Make a cover for a light switch, a rocker (decora) switch, a dimmer, an outlet or a blank box, from 1 gang up to 5 gangs side by side. Add a name or room label, big breakout letters that stand on the top edge, a border, and up to two 3D shapes like stars, paws, pumpkins or music notes.

    Every plate is built on standard US wall plate spacing (1.812 in between gangs, toggle screws 2.375 in apart, rocker screws 3.812 in apart) in standard, midway or jumbo size. 5-gang plates print on Herc, our large-bed printer.

    Questions and answers

    Will it fit my wall box?

    The builder uses standard US switch and outlet spacing, so it fits standard toggles, rocker (decora) switches, GFCI and duplex outlets. Pick midway or jumbo to hide a rough wall edge, and tell us in your request if your screws are not standard.

    How is the name or room label printed?

    The name or room label above the switches is printed flush: flat inlaid letters, 0.6 mm deep, in a second color, level with the face. It is never raised or sunk. Breakout letters are different: they are separate 3D letters that stand on the top edge.

    How are the 3D shapes attached?

    Shapes print as separate pieces, then we pin them with short pieces of filament and glue them onto the plate, so they stay crisp and strong.

    Can I get a stacked (two row) plate or a plate with hooks?

    Not in the builder yet. Send a custom request with your box layout and we will design it with you.

    Is it safe?

    Turn off the power at the breaker before you take off a cover. The plate covers the box like any store-bought plate; it does not touch the wiring.

    How do I get a price?

    Send your design from this page. A person checks it and replies, usually within one business day, with the price and a payment link. Nothing is charged until you approve.

    Will it hold up in the sun or a hot car?

    Standard PLA can soften or warp in hot sun or a hot car. For outdoor booths, sunny windows and anything that rides in a vehicle, choose ASA, our outdoor material, for about 35% more. ABS is also available on any build.

    Can I pick it up in El Paso, or do you ship?

    Both. Pick it up free at our shop at 9109 Dyer St, El Paso, TX 79924, or we ship anywhere in the United States ($7.50 flat, free on orders of $75 or more).
